ASO Development Fund Drive
WSL members help with the Austin Symphony Orchestra (ASO) Annual Fund Drive, which is a three-day fundraiser that also includes participation by the younger symphony supporters Be at the Symphony (BATS), Knight of the Symphony (KOS), and ASO Board. The WSL ladies display their best telephone charm when calling on potential donors to contribute unrestricted funds for ASO outreach programs.
Orchestra Relations Dinners
The Orchestra Relations Committee provides and serves dinner to the Orchestra members before evening dress rehearsals approximately 8 times per year.
Symphony Pops Concerts
Pops Concert Committee members decorate and set-up tables at the Palmer Events Center during the day prior to the evening performance for the twice yearly events. The Pops events have a more casual flair and guests bring picnic dinners to enjoy with friends and WSL members. Wine and other spirits are available for purchase.
Tuneful Tales
WSL members assist the ASO with several of the children’s activities including the arts and crafts stations as well as helping children handle the instruments in the instrument petting zoo.
Young People’s Concerts
The YPC Committee assists at both the fall and spring concerts by helping with decorations, clean-up, ushering students, and unloading and reloading the buses of excited students.
